As a new mom, I've been having a blast sharing the joy of reading with my 5-month-old, Dax. It's amazing to see how his eyes light up when we start flipping through the pages. We've been having so much fun reading together that I wanted to share some of our favorite books with other parents out there.
These 5 books are a mix of classic and new titles, and they cover all kinds of fun topics, from family love to bedtime routines. I hope that by sharing these books, other parents can find some new stories to snuggle up and share with their little ones.

2. Llama Llama Zippity-Zoom by Anna Dewdney
I think Dax just likes the way I say "Llama Llama," but this is a fun one because its filled with different sounds like "vroom" and "whosh" and they seem to keep him interested
3. I Love You As Big As Ohio by Rossner and Illustrated by Joanne Partis
4. Hello Magazine from Highlights
okay so it's not a book- but my MIL signed Dax up for Hello Magazine through HIghlights and we have gotten a couple and the pictures keep Dax really interested. Plus there are some tips for parents on how to make the most of the magazines
5. Good Night, I Love You by Caroline Jayne Church
While we read books all day long, we've also incorporated reading into our bed and nap time routines. This one is short, sweet and to the point. It's the perfect addition to our routines because if Dax is getting super tired we can finish this one super quick or if we have a little more time we can read a few more before, but keeping this as a constant book right before bed is perfect for his routine.
